1. Overview
This page explains exactly what cookies and similar storage technologies TRNSFR uses, why we use them, and how you control them.
TRNSFR is operated by CTRL+ALT+DEL Ltd, a company registered in England & Wales (company number 16799634). We comply with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR), which means non-essential cookies only load after you have given consent.
You can change your choices at any time using the “Cookie preferences” link below or in the site footer.
2. What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files that a website stores in your browser. We also use similar technologies — such as localStorage and sessionStorage — for the same purposes; we treat them the same way as cookies.
Cookies are either first-party (set by trnsfr.io) or third-party (set by services we embed, such as Google Analytics). They can be session cookies (deleted when you close the browser) or persistent cookies (stored for a defined period).
3. Strictly necessary cookies
These cookies are required for the site to function and cannot be turned off. They do not store any personally identifiable information you have not provided.
| Cookie / key | Provider | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| trnsfr:cookie-consent:v1 | TRNSFR (first-party) | Stores your cookie consent choices so we know which categories to load on subsequent visits. | Persistent (browser-managed; cleared when you clear site data) |
| trnsfr:sticky-cta-dismissed:v1 | TRNSFR (first-party) | Remembers if you dismissed the floating sign-up prompt so we don’t show it again. | Persistent |
| theme / mode preferences | TRNSFR (first-party) | Remembers your theme (light/dark) and layout direction so the site renders consistently for you. | Persistent |
4. Analytics cookies (opt-in)
These cookies tell us how the site is used in aggregate — which pages get traffic, where users drop off, what the typical journey looks like, and which ad campaigns are working — so we can improve TRNSFR. They do not load until you have agreed to them.
| Cookie / key | Provider | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| _ga, _ga_*, _gid | Google Analytics (Google LLC) | Distinguishes unique users and sessions for aggregated traffic reporting. | Up to 2 years |
| _gcl_au, _gcl_aw, _gcl_dc | Google Ads (Google LLC) | Conversion tracking for our Google Ads campaigns — measures whether ad clicks led to signups so we know which ads work. | Up to 90 days |
| _clck, _clsk, CLID, ANONCHK, MR, MUID, SM | Microsoft Clarity (Microsoft Corporation) | Records anonymous session replays and heatmaps so we can see where users get stuck. | Session to 1 year |
5. Functional cookies (opt-in)
These cookies enable optional features. Right now this category only covers the live chat widget, which uses cookies to remember your conversation between page views.
| Cookie / key | Provider | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| cw_conversation, ChatwootPubsubToken, ChatwootConversationKey | Chatwoot (Chatwoot Inc.) | Identifies your chat conversation so messages persist across page navigations and visits. | Session to 1 year |
6. Managing your preferences
You can change your cookie choices at any time using the Cookie preferences link below. Changes take effect immediately — analytics and functional scripts are unloaded as soon as you withdraw consent.
You can also block or delete cookies directly in your browser settings. Doing so may affect parts of the site that depend on stored preferences (e.g. the dark/light mode you previously chose, or your live chat history).
7. Changes to this policy
We will update this page whenever we add, remove, or change a cookie. Material changes (e.g. new analytics provider, new tracking technology) will trigger the consent banner to reappear so you can re-confirm your choices.
